GOLDEN BOY is an original artwork depicting a beach landscape that symbolizes childhood freedom.
 
A boy runs across the beach, surrounded by warm shades of orange, gold and deep blue. The reflections in the water are reminiscent of old boat paint, weathered by time and salt.
 
This work combines the rugged character of a weathered landscape with the melancholy of the sea, paying tribute to light, freedom and transience.
 
I created this painting on commission for a lovely young couple, whose wife was allowed to use an image from an earlier painting for her thesis. When it was finished, she had the artwork recreated in a large format.
