The skipping rope is an instrument used in the sport of jumping where one or more participants jump over a rope that is swung so that it goes under their feet and over their heads. There are several sections of rope jumping, including single freestyle, single speed, pairs, three-person speed (Double Dutch) and three-person freestyle (Double Dutch freestyle).
