'READY FOR THE NEXT STEP' is a Mixed Media Urban art work in which layering and texture play an important role.  

The girl stands on the border between light and dark, inside and outside, past and future. 
The yellow and turquoise accents suggest hope, renewal and movement. 

It is about a moment of making a choice: the title refers to a decisive, perhaps vulnerable moment of change. The girl is literally ready to take the next step - physically, emotionally and symbolically. 
This work is constructed with layers of image transfer, collage texts, acrylic paint, ink, pencil and pastel crayon.
